Can't Let You Go

'When Sara unexpectedly gets pregnant, George, her boyfriend, does whatever he can to make sure she keeps the baby.'

Made in collaboration with Jordanian-Palestinian director Walid Said, 'Can't Let You Go' will have it's premiere at BIFA-Qualifying Manchester International Film Festival in March 2023. It addresses themes of male mental health, gaslighting and abuse.

'Can't Let You Go' is a microcosm of the rampant abuse that occurs daily, particularly with women. Abuse, whether it be physical or emotional, in the most part, comes from those whom we love. It’s difficult to predict because 90% of the time, things are wonderful and 10% of the time the horrifying realities come creeping in. Though it is always apparent to the outside viewer, the victim is engulfed by denial that the person they love is the same person their friends are warning against.
